A Chiller Twitter

I've created a Chrome extension that hides everyone's popularity. Like and follower counts, who follows who; all the things that try to push you into mentally "keeping score", and can lead to an unhealthy focus on status-seeking.

To add it to your browser, download the zip file, unzip it, then open your extension preferences at chrome://extensions/.Hyperlinks to internal Chrome pages don't work unfortunately, you just have to copy-paste it into your URL bar. Turn on "developer mode" with the toggle in the top right, then click "load unpacked" in the top left, select the extension directory, and you're good to go.I haven't added it to the Chrome web store because that costs $5 and makes me do a bunch of paperwork, and probably like 5 people are going to ever use this extension. If it gets popular bug me about it and I'll add it to the web store.

The extension is pretty finicky and might break as Twitter changes its UI, so if you notice it stop working please let me know and I'll fix it. If you'd like me to add any particular customization options, I'm happy to do that too.

PS: As a computer security nerd, I feel the need to point out that blindly loading extensions from unknown people on the internet and running them on your device is generally not a good idea. If I wanted to, for example, I could have included a line in the script that gives me access to your Twitter account. I haven't done that because I'm not evil, but you should be aware that it's a thing that's possible. Only run scripts from trusted sources.
